I’ve been brewing beer for 10 years and I’ve never had a recipe that was quite like this one.
The recipe is simple: you boil your beer, stir in a little flour, then pour the mixture into a cake pan.
To get a beer flavour, you need to add a lot of sugar, which is easiest to achieve with a sugar cube.
A beer cake should not be served as a dessert, but is best enjoyed with a glass of water.
“You’re not going to have to use a lot,” Ms Taylor said.
It’s a simple idea, but the process takes time.
She said it was not uncommon to make beer cakes in two days, and even within that time they would be finished.
They could be made in the kitchen, and stored at room temperature.
One of the reasons she loved making beer cakes was that they were inexpensive, she said.
“I can get all my ingredients in one basket.
This way, I can just go out and buy all my different ingredients,” Ms Williams said.
“It’s just like a regular cupcake, it’s not as expensive.”
