Colt 45, an Australian beer company, is in the midst of a new round of funding after announcing a $1.1 million round of financing in March, according to a company spokesperson.
The new funding will help the company expand its production capacity and develop new products, the spokesperson told BeerAdvocate.
The company will also add two more breweries to its portfolio, including a brand new brewpub and a distillery, the company said in a press release.
Colt 45 beers are made using a new process called “fermentation,” which involves heating and steeping the beer before bottling.
The process allows the beer to develop flavors and aromas that are unique to the brewery, and then is poured into beer glasses.
“The result is a unique beer that’s always in a special place,” the company’s statement read.
“We’re now making more than 200,000 bottles a day, and we’re on track to meet demand for this beer for a few years.”
Colt 45 is also looking to diversify its portfolio.
The brewery plans to launch new brands including Colt 45 Pale Ale, Colt 45 Double IPA, Colt 43 Brown Ale, and Colt 45 Light Ale in 2018.
Colt is currently a member of the American Craft Brewers Association.
Colt 45’s beers are distributed in over 100 states and territories.
The brewery was founded in 2003 and currently has more than 1,000 employees.
The brewer is currently hiring for additional positions.
